Reconnected!

Thanks to a good friend (thanks, Erin!) our household is now fully accessing the internet through a VPN from home again.  Phew!

Unfortunately, this is as much of an update as I am offering right now.  I'm supposed to be finishing another article for Shanghai Family Magazine - have published 2 stories and a few photographs over the last few months.  Working on story #3 - which was due yesterday.  And have promised another one in mid-July.  This career as a writer is really taking off, even if in my own small world.

Also, we're rushing to fix the mold problem.  The landlord has promised enough money for us to bleach the walls and then escape to a hotel for the evening.  So we're spending the night in Sheshan tomorrow night - just outside of town, this hotel has a lake, both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and is located within walking distance of a large sculpture park with a beach, a swim park, and plenty of large bouncing things for kids.  Plus, its surrounded by hills, grass and trees... and the sky almost looks blue out there.  The perfect place to blow away a summer weekend - and especially on the landlord's Yuan!

And lastly, I become a bit more regularly employed next week.  I will be teaching two Music Together classes beginning on Tuesday, and so the weekend will be further devoted to memorizing the songs and dancing around with my children to a few of them until we're all completely tired of this otherwise catchy kids music.

So I've not got much to say, and can't promise much more in the coming days.  But it sure has been nice connecting again!
