A Bright New Day

I got to the gym this morning and I was able to Skype with my friend Karoline; the girls left happily for school and the sun shone all day. It was a great day for Paulina and I to walk to the market so she could show her favorite shops and I could buy some housekeeping supplies for her. Paulina is our housekeeper and she has made this move so much easier than it could have been. I brought my camera along and she was very patient with me.

- When people ask me what I do, I tell them that I'm staying at home with my girls. I don't tell them that I spent years in school and money to get a master's degree. I don't tell them that I was good at my job. I don't tell them that I loved the challenge and craze of working a job that demanded my all. Being a mom demands a lot of me, but it doesn't demand that I have good critical thinking skills or that I can write well. So I'm taking myself back to school, and you can grade my homework.
